Privacy policy.
What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Effective 18 October 2026.
Who we are
This website is run by Alchemy Scientific LLC, a Florida limited liability company, 335 S Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33131, United States. We provide executive search and scientific and medical consulting. For anything about your information, write to info@alchemyscientific.com.
We decide how the information described here is used, so for the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we are its controller.
What we collect
When you email us: your email address, your name and anything you choose to send, such as details of a role or a résumé. This website has no form; inquiries come to us by email.
When we consider you for a role or a consulting engagement: the professional information you share with us, such as your résumé, experience, availability and preferences, and our notes from our conversations. We may also use professional information you have made public, for example on professional networking sites.
When you visit the website: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested.
How we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to inquiries and work out whether we can help. Basis: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before an engagement.
- To consider candidates and consultants for searches and engagements. Basis: our legitimate interest in matching specialized people with suitable opportunities.
- To submit a candidate or consultant to a client. Basis: your permission for that specific submission (see below).
- To meet legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
We may use technology to assist research and recruitment, but decisions about candidate submissions and recommendations involve human review.
Keeping information on file is different from submitting it
We may keep your information on file so we can consider you for current and future opportunities. Keeping it on file does not mean we send it to anyone.
We send a candidate's or consultant's profile only to the prospective client for a specific search or engagement, and only with that person's permission for that submission, given by email or verbally on a call. We ask again for each new submission.
Who we share it with
- Prospective clients, only as described above.
- Service providers that run this website and our communications for us: GoDaddy (website hosting) and our email provider.
- Authorities or advisers, where the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. It has no analytics or advertising tools and no embedded forms, and our fonts and images are served from our own site.
Where your information is stored
We are based in the United States. Our website is hosted, and our email is handled, by service providers that store information in the United States. If you are in the EU, the UK or elsewhere outside the United States, information you send us is therefore stored and used in the United States, where data protection law differs from yours. When we submit your profile with your permission, it goes to the prospective client, which may be in another country.
How long we keep it
We do not currently apply a fixed retention period. We keep inquiry, candidate and consultant information for as long as it is needed for the recruitment or consulting purpose it was shared for, and longer only where we need it to meet legal, contractual or record-keeping obligations.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time. We review each request and delete what we have no obligation or continuing need to keep. If we keep something, we will tell you what and why.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can object to our use of it based on legitimate interests, and withdraw a permission you gave at any time, without affecting what was done before. Write to info@alchemyscientific.com.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its date.
